RESEARCHING DESIGNERS

MAX HUBER

Max Huber was born on the 5th of June 1919, he was an influential graphic designer from Switzerland. He was a jazz fan and designed a series of stunning record covers, music covers and stage sets, he designed the poster for the Monza Grand Prix.

He went to the University of Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich where he also followed and appreciated different designers.

I am not the biggest fan of Hubers's work as it is not very exciting, there could be more color and it could be more vibrant, I do like the fact that it was created for the F1 but you can tell that it was made many years ago.

APRIL GREIMAN

April Greiman was an American designer widely recognized as one of the first designers to embrace computer technology as a design tool, she was born on the 22nd of March 1948 in New York and she is 75 years of age.

she has achieved several awards in her life and a lot of notable work and achievements, these include the Modern Poster Competition 1988 and Achievements of Women Hearth and Magazine 1985.

I really like the look of Gaiman's work because it is firstly colorful which catches the eye of the audience, it is well constructed and it is different.

SELF-IDENTITY - THAILAND - GOOGLE FORMS

I have created a Google form to collect some primary market research to understand more about what people would want to see from my FMP, a survey/ questionnaire is a very good quick easy, and cheap way to gain information, it also allows you to understand what you are going to do better.

GOOGLE FORMS RESPONSES

The responses in areas were mixed, the majority of people wanted to go to Thailand yet everyone wanted to go travelling. we also found out that over 60% of people felt that it doesn't matter what age you go travelling and 40% felt that the best age to go is between 21-24. There was an even split of which social media people consume travel content on which was very interesting to see, Also people were very interested in seeing a promotional video about Thailand.

RESEARCHING INFOGRAPHICS OR CARTOGRAPHY

An infographic is a visual representation of information or data, for example, a chart or a diagram. It is knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly. They can improve cognition by using graphics to enhance the human visual system's ability to see patterns and trends.

These two examples of infographics are good examples because firstly we have a timeline which is a simple way to do it but it can be made to look really cool in many different ways as you can see here. Also, we have got another one of a different style which is a sort of mind map type thing with lots of images and visual representation. I like the colors and the different types of fonts that have been used which gives it a very cool look.
TIMELINES

A timeline is a graphic representation of a period, on which important events are marked. Usually, this would be in chronological order of their occurrence. This would include dates paralleling it and usually the events to match

I have chosen these timelines to talk about because they have some relation to travel and getting around like I'm doing for my FMP this could be a good way for someone to display their traveling journey by creating a timeline of the events that occurred whilst they were on their adventure. I also really like the colors and the organization they are all very different in their own right which shows that they can be made into so many different things.

WEBSITE RESEARCH

This website is an example of an experienced website which is what I am going to do for my FMP, what I really like about this website is how it is laid out, I like the simplicity factor, my website isn't going to be a selling page it is going to be providing information about different experiences, what I think could be better about this particular website is the imagination, there isn't much going on and there needs to be more information on the different types of activities that you can book.

This website is something that I want to stay far clear of, firstly the amount of content that has been put on the website looks far too confusing and it doesn't look like it is in a good order, There is too much going on and it would be better to be something more simple
